Santa came to town!!

Our good friends invited us to their home for a personal visit from Santa. We were so excited! This would be Jetta's first encounter and Henry's second. F.Y.I. his first encounter did not go well, so we thought him being 3 and in a small setting things would be grand.....not so. Jetta did great. She loved Santa and laughed and had a "jolly" time with him, Henry on the other hand did not greet Santa with the same excitement. He started out crying, and keeping a far distance but as the evening went on he did better. He actually got close enough to take a candy cane out of Santa's bag. In the end they both got presents and it was as good as we had hoped for.

cute santa! i got mckinlay all dressed up yesterday to get her picture with santa and was so disappointed! i think santa was homeless. he was skinny, scruffy, hius beard was too big and he had foggy glasses (you know what i mean?). he was nice, but not so jolly looking. AND they wouldn't let me take my own picture. i wasn't about to buy a photo with lame santa, so our little trip was for not. but really, what was i expecting from the ghetto watertown mall. i think i set myself up for the disappointment.

Great Santa visit! I love Jetta's face whilst hanging with Mr. Claus and that Henry is still a little hesitant...I think Santa still freaks me out a little :) I still need to get on the ball and bring Annie to see the big man.

Cute Santa picture with Jetta! I'd rather talk to you on the phone than through blogging. Give me a call when you have a free minute. I also won't leave my number on here, but if you don't have it I know your mom and McCall do. But, no worries, I think it's fine.

anna was petrified this year, too. don't they know that this is the man who is so magical and generous with gifts? maybe they can see through him at this young age and know its really just us... go jetta. way to be brave.

So fun! I love Jetta's smile while sitting on Santa's lap and Henry's reaction is classic, what is it about kids being scared of Santa? Oh, wait - he's a strange man, dressed in a bright red suit, whose face is hidden behind that HUGE white beard! I don't blaim the little guy (at least he got a candy cane, right?) All the other kids in front of us in the Santa line this year were a little freaked out, too!

PS Love your blog, I'll be a frequent visitor...
